2009-2010 City Endowment for the Arts Grant Recipients

Central Valley Youth Symphony: SUSAN PIRIE
$2500 for student performances at three
area convalescent hospitals as well as a
public concert on April 25, 2010.

MATTHEW CRUZ: $2000 for production of
a student video with a proposed premier
date at the San Joaquin International
Film Festival in 2010.

Friends of the Fox/Bob Hope Theatre: NANCY SLATTER
$2000 toward purchase of a DVD player
and projector to upgrade their Classic
Cinema series.

Friends of Chamber Music: SARA MILNES
$1500 for sponsorship of the Poulenc Trio concert
on October 11, 2009.

Melissa Guindon: $1000 to develop
children’s art classes at Family Day in
the Park in September.

The Haggin Museum: SUSAN OBERT
$4000 for community and educational outreach
programs in conjunction with Plein-Air
Painters of America’s American Legacy:
Our National Parks exhibit, October 2,
2009 - January 10, 2010.

Jesse Christian Hendricks:
$2000 for Tango Argentino, featuring a three-member
tango dance group, tango solo
guitar pieces, and other musicians.

New Dance Company: AUDREY OGDEN
$3000 for the support of VALLEYDANCE 2010, which
will feature student dance workshops
and a public event on May 10, 2010.

Michael Randolph:
$1500 for developing an exhibit of photographs
featuring twenty area artists.

San Joaquin Potters Guild: JERO ROSS
$4000 for guest artist workshops and teaching
materials.

Dolly Sellers:
$5000 for restoration work and a mural painting on the Bob
Hope Theatre exit doors on San Joaquin
Street.

Barbara Sitnik:
$3000 for teaching stained glass classes to seniors and
the disabled at the Oak Park Senior Citizens Center.

Stockton Civic Theatre: FRANCES PARKER
$2500 for support of a six-week student summer
performing arts program and the
featured performance, Disney’s Beauty
and the Beast, Jr.

Valley Concert Band: CHRIS ANDERSON
$3000 for Reflections in Concert, two concerts
highlighting the music culture in our
community to be held Spring 2010.

Robert Yoshino:
$2000 for student instruction and production of a music
video festival.
