Accounting is the hub of financial information within the City and is responsible for all functions
related to:
General
Ledger Accounting
Payroll
Accounts
Payable (vendor payments)
General Accounting
The General Accounting section
keeps records of all financial transactions
by reporting and interpreting the City's
financial position and results of operations
prepared in accordance with generally
accepted account principles applicable
to municipal governments. These records
are subject to an annual independent
audit that culminates in the publication
of the Comprehensive
Annual Financial Report (CAFR), which continues to qualify for national and state awards. Other Finanical Reports published are the Single Audit Report (SAR) and the Public Facilities Fee Report (PFF).
Payroll
The Payroll section is responsible
for providing accurate payment of employees'
salaries and remitting payroll withholdings
to respective agencies.
Accounts Payable
The Accounts Payable section issues
approximately 30,000 checks per year for
materials and services purchased and received
by all City departments.
