SALE OR POSSESSION OF UNINSPECTED MEATS
SEC. 7-002. SALE OR POSSESSION OF UNINSPECTED MEATS:
It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, corporation or association, or the
agent or employee of any person, firm, corporation or association, to sell, expose
for sale, keep, barter, or exchange, for human consumption, within the City of
Stockton, any beef, veal, mutton or pork, without having such beef, veal, mutton
or pork first inspected by the State Meat Inspector under the Director of Agriculture
of the State of California, as defined by Chapter No. 732 of the Statutes and
Amendments to the Codes of California, (1921), page 1269 et seq., and bearing
the stamp upon such beef, veal, mutton or pork the words, "California; inspected
and passed" or inspected by the United States Government Inspector and bearing
the stamp, "U.S. inspected and passed;" or inspected by any Municipal
Meat Inspection Department officially recognized by the State of California.
