SALARY AND BENEFITS OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL



SEC. 3-140. SALARY OF MAYOR
The annual salary of the Mayor shall be EIGHTY-TWO THOUSAND EIGHTY-EIGHT AND 52/100 DOLLARS ($82,088.52), or that of the Chairperson of the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Joaquin on July 1, 2007, whichever is greater. The yearly salary shall be revised in accordance with any adjustment received by the Chairperson of the Board of Supervisors of San Joaquin County, and shall be payable on the payment schedule for City employees.

SEC. 3-141. BENEFITS OF MAYOR
The Mayor shall be entitled to health, dental, and vision care insurance under the plans available to full-time employees of the City, or, at the Mayor's option, the Mayor shall receive the monthly cash equivalent of the cost of such benefits to the City. Such monthly amount shall be adjusted per year based on the budgeted rate for full-time employees.

SEC. 3-142. EFFECTIVE DATE OF SALARY AND BENEFITS OF MAYOR
The salary and benefits of the Mayor shall be effective on July 1, 2007.

SEC. 3-143. SALARY OF CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS
The annual salary of each member of the City Council, except the Mayor, shall be TWENTY-THREE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED TWENTY-SEVEN AND 40/100 DOLLARS ($23,927.40), payable on the payment schedule for City employees.

SEC. 3-144. BENEFITS OF CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS
Members of the City Council shall receive no benefits.

SEC. 3-145. EFFECTIVE DATE OF SALARY AND BENEFITS OF CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS
The salary and benefits of each member of the City Council, except the Mayor, shall be effective on July 1, 2007.
