A request form for citizens interested in obtaining certain information about properties in Stockton is now available. Following are some examples of the information provided:

  • Active or prior code enforcement activity/actions
  • Permit issues
  • Liens or fines/fees due on a property

On Tuesday, August 19, 2008, the Stockton City Council adopted an urgency ordinance to protect neighborhoods from becoming blighted through a lack of adequate maintenance and security of vacant buildings and properties.

If you see any code violations like the ones shown in the pictures below, just call 937-8813 and give us the street address of the violation.  Sorry, we cannot take anonymous complaints.  You must provide your name, which will be kept confidential.

Neighborhood Services uses a number of tools to address the complaints they receive.  Some of the Code Enforcement tools used are listed below:

CLEAN SWEEP PROGRAM - Several times per year the City of Stockton focuses on areas where there is an accumulation of junk and debris present and assists residents in the removal of blight in the area.

GRAFFITI ABATEMENT PROGRAM - If you have graffiti in your neighborhood, call the Graffiti Hotline at 937-8040 or visit the Graffiti Hotline web page.  (You may be eligible to receive a cash award if the information you report leads to a conviction).  More..
