STORMWATER POLLUTION is the result of pollutants
such as used motor oil, antifreeze, paints, fertilizers, pet waste,
water from washing our cars,
and pesticides that are washed into the storm drains. It is
the number one source of pollution in our nation's urban
waters today. Storm drains were designed to collect only RAIN
and WATER to prevent flooding during storms.
If the
drains do get clogged during a storm, and flooding does occur in
your neighborhood, call the City's Service Center at
937-8341.
If we all put
in a little effort, maybe we can keep our storm drains clear and
our neighborhood streets free from flooding.
REMEMBER
Only Rain Down the Drain!
