Villas De Amistad Apartments

More affordable apartments under construction!!

The City of Stockton recently announced the renovation of the Villas De Amistad Apartments found at 601 East Main Street. Villas De Amistad is a five-story structure within the West End Redevelopment Project Area that will be rented out to low and very-low income households at an affordable housing cost. The developer for this project is C.F.Y. Development Inc.

156 small sized units will be converted into 90 studio-style units that will remain as single room occupany units.  Four of the 90 units will meet American Disabilities Act standards. A community/recreation room, community kitchen, meeting rooms and a computer room will all be built as part of the renovation. Of particular importance, tenants will enjoy the energy efficient design features, such as windows, insulation, heating and cooling units, and ENERGY STAR rated appliances.

To support these new units, the City of Stockton invested $6 million towards development by combining funds from California Housing Enabled by Local Partnership Program, HUD's HOME Investment Partnerships Program, Redevelopment Agency, and Strong Neighborhood Initiative.
