  • Neighborhood Stabilization Program Workshops

       

The following workshops have been scheduled for those interested in obtaining information on the Your Own Home Neighborhood Stabilization Program:

» Licensed contractors and subcontractors: 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, Manteca City Hall council chambers, 1001 W. Center St., Manteca.

» Manteca area Realtors: 10 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, Manteca City Hall council chambers, 1001 W. Center St., Manteca.

» Stockton area Realtors: 3 to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Aspen Hall, University Park, Magnolia and Grant streets, Stockton.

» Homebuyers: 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Manteca City Hall council chambers, 1001 W. Center St., Manteca

  • NSP Funds

The City of Stockton is proposing to use $12.1 million of NSP funds that have been allocated by HUD to acquire and repair foreclosed residences; to offer downpayment and closing cost assistance to low- to moderate-income homebuyers; and to demolish blighted structures. HUD set income maximum at 120 percent of area median income.  In Stockton, that means $76,320 for a

  • Builder Workshop

          PG&E hosts workshops for builders and developers of new residential

          projects. Builders of new homes are dealing with a variety of changes in

          the industry. These changes include updates to the state energy code,

          adoption of green building standards by local government, changes to

          solar and energy efficiency PG&E incentives. For workshop updates go
