Through the combined efforts of the City of Stockton, County of San Joaquin, Bank of Stockton and Northern California Construction and Training Inc (NCCT) – Visionary Home Builders of California (formerly ACLC) is helping to revitalize housing in the Gleason Park neighborhood. The construction of a charming NEW triplex brings affordable housing to tenants.

The housing triplex is located on

All three of the units have been designed to provide easy access to persons with physical disabilities and each unit has off-street parking in the separate carport structure.

NCCT Students working on Church Street Construction

The construction work was done by NCCT, a local job training service that provides classroom and on-the-job training to students in the construction field.

The project is part of a six-month class that focuses on completing three houses over the duration of the course. The houses constructed through this program are typically sold to low-income first time home buyers. In this instance the triplex will be owned and managed by Visionary Home Builders of California.

The City of Stockton is very excited about this project. Not only does the triplex replace three inner-city affordable rental units, it also provides a great hands on experience for local students learning the construction trade.
