Carbon Footprint
The City of Stockton is excited to announce that we have begun working with ICLEI (Local Governments for Sustainability) to create a baseline emissions inventory that will help us determine the amount of CO2 that we are emitting throughout the city as a whole and as a government entity.
By understanding and quantifying how much CO2 we produce we can specifically target areas where reductions are easily obtainable and set targets for future emission reductions.
We are continuously developing new ways in which we can lower our carbon emission in order to create a healthier living environment for all!
Some of the things that we are currently evaluating:
Community (City of Stockton)
- Energy Use (Electrical/Natural Gas)
- Transportation
- Waste
City of Stockton (Government Entity)
- Buildings (Energy Use)
- Fuel Consumption
- Fleet
- Employee Commute
- Business Travel
- Waste
- Storm water/Wastewater
- Streetlights
