Stockton Fire Department display at The Haggin Museum:

The 1873 Babcock Chemical Wagon was purchased by San Joaquin Engine Co. in 1873 and was the first firefighting vehicle of its kind in California. It remained in service until February 1901.

"Old Betsy", an 1862 Neafie & Levy Steam Fire Engine, is the second oldest on display in the United States. She was purchased by the Weber Engine Co. in 1862 and was Stockton's first steam fire engine. She was permanently retired shortly before WWI.
