Stockton/San Joaquin Enterprise Zone
Employee Recruitment & Training Assistance

Businesses locating in the Stockton/San Joaquin Enterprise Zone can avoid the high costs of recruiting, screening, and training employees by taking advantage of several available programs through San Joaquin County WorkNet. These include:
Recruitment and Pre-screening Services
The San Joaquin County WorkNet will design and implement an employee recruitment campaign around a company's specifications. This would include the following services:
  • Advertising
  • Supplying Applications
  • Collecting and Screening Applications
  • Arranging Interviews
Specialized Training Program
Companies that require specific skills unique to their business can have training programs designed to meet their special needs. WorkNet will provide the staff and facilities (if necessary) to conduct the training. WorkNet will reimburse the company for the training costs associated with those employees hired at completion of training
Pre-trained/Job Ready Employees
WorkNet operates several occupational skills training programs year-round that have proven to be a valuable resource to employers needing job-ready personnel.
Vouchering
As mentioned on the State Incentives web page, WorkNet also provides vouchering for employees, which allows employers to take advantage of the State's hiring tax credit for Enterprise Zone businesses. More information can be obtained by visiting the above mentioned site or San Joaquin County WorkNet.
