Channel District Action Team - CDAT
Chair:
Johnny Ford, Deputy City Manager
Assistant: Anita Armendariz
The redevelopment of the City of Stockton’s Waterfront area is one of the largest redevelopment projects in the State of California. The mission of the Channel District Action Team (CDAT) is to expedite and manage the implementation of the potential projects under consideration for the redevelopment of the downtown’s south and north shore. The Stockton Events Center has been the principal project being pursued by the CDAT to date. The project is currently under construction, and includes a minor league ballpark, an indoor arena that seats 10,000, a 200 room hotel and conference center, a parking structure and several surface lots. The project area is bounded by Fremont Street to the North, Commerce Street to the East, the Stockton Channel including the southern point of Weber Point to the South, and Lincoln and Harrison Streets to the West.
