Airport Corridor Action Team - ACT

The mission of the Airport Corridor Action Team (ACT) is to revitalize the Airport corridor neighborhood, plan for change, and implement urgent action required for the long term success and economic stability of the area. Input from the community and commitment from city and county government will be keynotes of this Action Team.

The Action Team is made up of City and County staff, non-profit agencies, community groups, churches, residents, property owners and business owners who live, work, service, and/or volunteer in the Airport Corridor area. The primary boundaries for ACT Team efforts are: Charter Way to the North, Carpenter Road to the South, the UPRR/SPRR railroad tracks to the West, and Bieghle Street to the East.

Team Leaders:

Co-Chair: Katherine Gong-Meissner, City Clerk
Co-Chair: Rick Salsedo, Police Captain

The committee is in the process of transitioning to citizen leadership and working with other community groups.  The City will continue to serve and assist the committee citizen leaders.

Many of the ACT goals have been accomplished!  This is cause for great celebration!!  It shows that partnerships between neighborhoods and municipalities are successful.  As one of the precursors to the Neighborhood Renaissance Program, ACT proves that citizens have great ideas and can team with government to make them reality.
