All building permits require an inspection conducted by our trained, professional inspectors to review:
- footings, foundation, and structural systems
- mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- insulation, drywall and roofing systems

Scheduling Inspections
Inspection requests can be made 24 hours a day by phone or online. Requests made before 3:00 p.m. will be scheduled for the following working day. Requests made after 3:00 p.m. and on weekends or holidays will be scheduled two working days later

Overtime Inspections
To assist customers with keeping their project schedule on track, the Building & Life Safety Division offers building inspections outside of normal business hours and on holidays/weekends. Inspections requested outside of normal working hours will be conducted depending on inspector availability. Overtime inspections are conducted between the hours of 4:30pm-5:00am. The overtime inspection request must be received by close of business the working day prior to the request. To request an overtime inspection, follow the instructions on the Overtime Inspection Request form. There is a minimum fee of $295 for 2.75 hours of inspector time, each additional hour or fraction thereof will be charged at $108. Overtime inspections are not guaranteed until the fee is paid and confirmation is received.Easy Inspection Scheduler
